Retail Bar Team Leader

About the Job
As a Retail Team Leader, you will be the face of the area you lead for SEC Food.
Working in the Hydro Retail Bars as a Team Leader means providing a high level of service for general bar customers during events.
Your role is imperative to the success of the event and will include leading a team of staff to serve customers and clients the food and drink required as per the event instruction – this will involve the sale and service of alcohol if over 18 years old.
Duties
Supervising Bar Operations
- Ensure that the bar operates in compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety, alcohol licensing laws, and fire safety.
- Ensure that all team members follow proper safety protocols.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and closure of the bar.
- Ensure the bar is stocked and inventory levels are monitored.
Team Management
- Lead and manage the bar staff within the area assigned to.
- Delegate tasks and ensure all team members understand their roles.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback to improve service quality.
Customer Service
- Handle any customer complaints or issues efficiently, aiming to resolve effectively.
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming environment for customers.
Promoting a Positive Work Environment
- Encourage a positive, team-oriented atmosphere – through good communication and collaboration among team members.

Operational Excellence
Responsibility over the service and management of an allocated area; including but not limited to:
- Leading and delivering event team briefing and completion of event paperwork
- Leading and motivating the team, ensuring on the job training is being delivered as applicable
- Debrief for any staff, service, or customer feedback; feedback to Operations Managers; complete closing check list and ensure the service area is secure and clean
