The campus comprises of 3 key venues - The OVO Hydro, The SEC Centre and the SEC Armadillo, each hosting various dynamic events and providing a unique customer experience.
We are on the lookout to expand our talented culinary team, including Catering Assistants, Commis Chefs, Chef De Parties and Lead Chefs to help us deliver the highest quality catering, which reflects and enhances the campus’ outstanding reputation!

SEC Food Expectations on Shift
- Help to prepare, cook and present food to exceptional standards
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Prepare food to menu specifications ensuring that Levy standards and procedures are followed.
- Minimise product wastage
- Work efficiently as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to menu changes and kitchen set ups.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment
- Assist with new team members by giving respectful and encouraging coaching.
- Adherence to Levy policies and procedures.
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a professional kitchen
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards (HACCP procedures, allergen control, temperature logs, etc.)
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate desirable
- Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food preparation and presentation
- Ability to manage a specific section efficiently
- Formal culinary qualification desirable (NVQ/SVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent).
- Experience in a high-volume or fine dining kitchen (depending on your business).
- Knowledge of allergen handling and dietary requirements.
- Passion for food and ongoing learning.
