The campus comprises of 3 key venues - The OVO Hydro, The SEC Centre and the SEC Armadillo, each hosting various dynamic events and providing a unique customer experience.

What will I be doing?

As a Team Leader you will be the face of the area you lead for SEC Food.

You should focus on always delivering a premium and efficient service to our guests. Attention to detail and a focus on creating a seamless experience are essential. You’ll be working with a range of clientele, offering personalised service in an exclusive atmosphere.

Your role is imperative to the success of the event and will include leading a team of staff to serve customers and clients the food and drink required as per the event instruction – this will involve the sale and service of alcohol.

Expectations and Requirements:

• Previous team leader & hospitality experience essential

• Excellent communication skills

• Solution orientated and innovative

· Responsibility over the service and management of an allocated area; including but not limited to:

· Leading and delivering event team briefing and completion of event paperwork

· Leading and motivating the team, ensuring on the job training is being delivered as applicable

· Debrief for any staff, service, or customer feedback; feedback to Operations Managers; complete closing check list and ensure the service area is secure and clean

· As part of our commitment for continuous improvement and innovation, all colleagues are encouraged to seek ways to improve work activities and promote efficiency

Where will I be working?

Our teams work across 5 core departments within the business. These are:

Clydebuilt Bar and Kitchen: The heart of the campus, our flagship restaurant is a vibrant and welcoming space where you'll be serving a variety of delicious meals and drinks to our guests. Expect a dynamic, fast paced environment where customer service is key, in a casual dining setting.

Hydro Hospitality: Working in Hydro Hospitality, you'll be expected to provide premium service to VIP guests during events. Attention to detail and a focus on creating a luxurious and seamless experience are essential. You’ll be working with a range of clientele, offering personalised service in an exclusive atmosphere.

Hydro Retail: This is our most fast-paced environment, ideal for those who thrive under pressure. You’ll be serving large volumes of customers quickly and efficiently, especially during peak event times. It’s a lively and energetic setting where teamwork and speed are crucial.

Armadillo Retail: Similar to the Hydro Retail Bar but on a smaller scale, this role offers a slightly more intimate yet still bustling environment. You’ll be serving guests during events, with a focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction. It’s a great opportunity for those who enjoy a fast-paced setting but prefer working with a more manageable crowd.

Conference & Events: This area involves catering and event services for conferences, exhibitions, and special events. The work is varied, from setting up and serving at formal dinners to managing catering stations during large-scale events. Flexibility, attentiveness and a keen sense of organisation are important here.
